For 35 years, the Centre for Research and Expertise in Social Gerontology (CREG\u00c9S) has played a leading role in developing and fostering research that supports programs, practices, legislation and social change to improve the lives of older people.\u202f\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Today, the research at CREG\u00c9S reflects the diverse experiences of aging that are profoundly impacted by complex social issues, such as major socioeconomic, health and regional inequalities, a housing crisis, the ubiquitousness of new technologies, the medicalization of aging, ageism, and social participation. These issues have significant repercussions on the inclusion, health and well-being of all older people, and even greater impacts on those who are marginalized. Given this context, our research seeks to answer the following questions:\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This one-day hybrid symposium, aimed at a wide audience of practitioners, managers, researchers, other knowledge users, and the general public, will explore these issues through the prism of social gerontology. Presentations of current research, interactive workshops and participatory activities will allow participants to explore the changing needs of older adults, the impact of organizational and technological innovations, and the changing nature of research and intervention practices in this field.\u202f\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The event will bring together speakers and participants from across Quebec, offering a unique platform for exchanging ideas on the challenges and opportunities of aging.
