As part of the 2021-2026 Government Action Plan for Caregivers<\/a><\/strong>, CREG\u00c9S was mandated by Quebec\u2019s Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS) <\/strong>to develop a training program about caregivers, in partnership with the Formation continue partag\u00e9e team of the Sant\u00e9 Qu\u00e9bec Estrie \u2013 CHUS. The project is being led by the CREG\u00c9S Domain of Expertise in Caregiving<\/strong><\/a> and is under the scientific direction of Isabelle Van Pevenage<\/strong><\/a>, institutional researcher.<\/p>\n This training is available to anyone working with caregivers, including staff and managers in the health and social services network (e.g., home care, local community service centres, long-term care homes, etc.) through the provincial Digital Learning Environment (ENA). It is also available to individuals working outside the public network (e.g., private seniors’ residences, non-profit organizations, etc.) who have access to the FCP Partners platform.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n The training consists of three phases. The first group of modules, which forms the core curriculum, has been available since June 2024. The second group of modules has been available since June 2026 on both digital learning platforms. The third and final phase, focusing on the characteristics of caregiving relationships as they relate to caregiver characteristics, will be released soon. It also lays the foundation for appropriate interventions tailored to different caregiving and practice contexts, helping professionals better recognize and support caregivers through a partnership-based approach.
