The Minist\u00e8re de la Sant\u00e9 et des Services sociaux (MSSS), the Fonds de recherche du Qu\u00e9bec – Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 et culture (FRQSC) and the Fonds de recherche du Qu\u00e9bec – Sant\u00e9 (FRQS) have awarded $920,750 to Marie-\u00c8ve Bouthillier<\/strong> and her team for the research project Mieux comprendre le recours \u00e0 l’aide m\u00e9dicale \u00e0 mourir en contexte qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois.<\/p>\n

Several CREG\u00c9S members are taking part in this project: Val\u00e9rie Bourgeois-Gu\u00e9rin<\/strong><\/a>, Maryse Souli\u00e8res<\/strong><\/a> and Maude L\u00e9vesque<\/strong><\/a>, research members, Sabrina Lessard<\/strong><\/a> and \u00c9milie Richard-Fr\u00e8ve<\/strong>, institutional researchers, and Patrick Durivage<\/strong><\/a>, coordinator of the Domain of Expertise in Palliative Care.<\/p>\n

Sandra Smele<\/strong><\/a>, coordinator of the Domain of Expertise in Inclusive Aging, Diversity, Health and Well-Being (IDSB), and Karine Ohayon<\/strong>, Coordinator of Knowledge Transfer – Programming and Partnerships, will be collaborators.<\/p>\n

This research project is expected to contribute to a better understanding of the main factors explaining the increase in the number of medical aid in dying requests received and administered in Quebec. The project also aims to contribute to ministerial work developing public policies, social programs, and monitoring systems for medical aid in dying.<\/p>\n
