Debunking Myths About Aging&#8221;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>(UBC PRESS).<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_video src=&#8221;https:\/\/creges.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/French-Sub_5.mp4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.22.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; title_text=&#8221;French Sub_5&#8243; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;][\/et_pb_video][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.22.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>About 60 authors from various organizations and disciplines contributed to the 31 chapters, which tackle a number of myths about aging. Among the themes are retirement, older workers, mourning, housing, caregivers, social or political involvement, aging in penitentiaries, aging with a disability, the digital world, sexuality, and more. The authors hope their book will contribute to a better general understanding of the difficulties, as well as the benefits, of an aging society.<\/p>\n<p>This book is the English version of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pulaval.com\/produit\/les-vieillissements-sous-la-loupe-entre-mythes-et-realites\">&#8221; Les vieillissements sous la loupe. Entre mythes et r\u00e9alit\u00e9s &#8221;<\/a> (PUL) published in 2018. The books are the product of a collective project carried out by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vies.ucs.inrs.ca\/\">Vieillissements, exclusions sociales et solidarit\u00e9s (VIES) partnership research team<\/a> and the CREG\u00c9S.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the launch, short bilingual video clips, featuring the authors will be posted on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/CREGEScavendish\/videos\">CREG\u00c9S YouTube channel<\/a>.
