The mandate for the development, organization and administrative support of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ciussscentreouest.ca\/a-propos-du-ciusss\/affaires-academiques\/observatoire-quebecois-de-la-proche-aidance\/\"> Observatoire qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois de la proche aidance<\/a> has been entrusted to the CIUSSS. Also, the CIUSSS and its University Institute for Ethnocultural Communities &#8211; SHERPA will be responsible for establishing the state of knowledge on caregivers from ethnocultural communities and English-speaking populations, and for supervising a provincial coordinator specialized in caregivers.<\/p>\n<p>The CIUSSS also has the mandate, which will be carried out with the expertise of CREG\u00c9S, to develop training for caregivers, professionals, and managers of the Health and Social Services network and the community on the characteristics and needs of caregivers, on the interventions to be favoured and on the partnership approach in the context of care and services (measure 19 of the action plan).<\/p>\n<p>In the context of the Act to Recognize and Support Caregivers, we are pleased with the appointment of Dr. <a href=\"https:\/\/creges.ca\/membre\/en\/isabelle-van-pevenage\/\"> Isabelle Van Pevenage<\/a>, CREG\u00c9S institutional researcher and associate professor at the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al, to the Comit\u00e9 de partenaires concern\u00e9s par le soutien au personnes proches aidantes.<br \/>\nWe would also like to mention the appointment of Dr. <a> M\u00e9lanie Couture<\/a>, CREG\u00c9S institutional researcher and affiliated professor at the Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke, and Dr. <a> Sophie \u00c9thier<\/a>, CREG\u00c9S researcher and full professor at the Universit\u00e9 Laval, to the Steering Committee of the Observatoire qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois de la proche aidance.<\/p>\n<p>The plan and its 61 measures can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/publications.msss.gouv.qc.ca\/msss\/document-003191\/?&amp;date=DESC&amp;type=plan-d-action&amp;critere=type\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Other relevant documents:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ciussscentreouest.ca\/a-propos-du-ciusss\/affaires-academiques\/observatoire-quebecois-de-la-proche-aidance\/\"> Observatoire qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois de la proche aidance<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/legisquebec.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/ShowDoc\/cs\/R-1.1\"> Act to recognize and support caregivers<br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/publications.msss.gouv.qc.ca\/msss\/fichiers\/2021\/21-835-01W.pdf\">National policy: Reconna\u00eetre et soutenir dans le respect des vonlont\u00e9s et des capacit\u00e9s d&#8217;engagement politique nationales pour les personnes proches aidantes<\/a>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Launch of the Plan d\u2019action gouvernemental pour les personnes proches aidantes The Centre for Research and Expertise in Social Gerontology (CREG\u00c9S) of the CIUSSS West-Central welcomes the launch of the government&#8217;s Plan d\u2019action gouvernemental pour les personnes proches aidantes 2021-2026: Reconnaitre pour mieux soutenir.
