This symposium is part of the CREGÉS pre-conference presented as part of the 54th Annual Scientific and Educational Meeting of the Canadian Association on Gerontology (CAG). You can register for the seminar, the symposium, or both.

This symposium presents concrete examples of public policy development relating to ageing, emphasizing the vital contribution of researchers and the importance of collaboration between research and political action. Cases from Quebec and New Brunswick in Canada, as well as France, illustrate the variety of contexts and approaches that can be employed. 

By bringing together students, researchers, community sector professionals, and public service representatives, this event aims to foster cross-sectoral collaboration to develop more inclusive and evidence-based public policies.
The symposium will be in French with simultaneous translation into English with Word.ly

A Two-Part Event
Join us for a day designed to spark dialogue between academia, community, and politics, with a focus on the vital role public policy plays in the field of aging. Together, we’ll look at how thoughtful policies can respond to the needs, rights, and lived experiences of older adults. Through dynamic presentations from our speakers, you’ll gain new insights into public policy and explore how gerontological research can shape, guide, and evaluate the policies.
