Tools to Better Support Caregivers
CREGÉS has been commissioned by the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS) to update two tools in order to reflect current realities and intervention contexts. This work forms part of Measure 35 of the 2021–26 Government Action Plan for Caregivers.
These tools have been revised in collaboration with Nancy Guberman, the original researcher, and are intended to equip professionals who support caregivers.
Grille de dépistage auprès des personnes proches aidantes (Caregiver Risk Screen) (updated in 2025): used to assess the risk of deterioration in the caregiving situation or the condition of the caregiver. Currently available in French only.
AIDE-Proches (CARE-Tool) (also updated in 2025) is a tool for assessing the needs of caregivers. Currently available in French only.
