Gabriela Peguero-Rodriguez is a professor and researcher in nursing sciences at the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO). Her research interests lie in the field of critical care—particularly emergency care—as well as in improving care trajectories for older adults.
Her work focuses in particular on the transition of older adults and their caregivers from long-term care facilities to emergency departments. She adopts a multidimensional approach to understanding this transition by examining the state of scientific knowledge, the perspectives of informal caregivers, nursing staff, and management personnel, as well as the organizational and clinical factors that influence the quality and continuity of care.
