Description :

The Reporting and Complaint Procedure is an adapted version of APPENDIX 1 – Reporting Pathway, taken from the guide published in 2023, Tous concernés : outil de soutien au développement et à la révision des politiques de lutte contre la maltraitance envers les aînés et toute autre personne majeure en situation de vulnérabilité, paru en 2023.

This procedure tool outlines the process to follow for handling complaints and reports of mistreatment involving older adults and any other adult in a vulnerable situation, whether or not they are known to institutions within the health and social services network. It specifies the obligations and procedures related to reporting (both mandatory and non-mandatory), as well as the relevant authorities depending on the context. The tool aims to guide practitioners toward appropriate resources to ensure a timely, safe, and legally compliant response, thereby contributing to the protection of individuals in vulnerable situations.
