A Tool and Guide to Support the Screening of Sexual Mistreatment of Older Adults
The Tool for Screening Potential Situations of Sexual Mistreatment Against Older Adults, along with its companion guide, is now available. It aims to support and raise awareness among practitioners in the health and social services network and the community sector in screening potential situations of sexual mistreatment involving older adults.
This project is part of the Plan d’action gouvernemental pour contrer la maltraitance envers les personnes aînées 2022-2027 and the Act to combat maltreatment of seniors and other persons of full age in vulnerable situations.
It supports the actions of the Stratégie gouvernementale intégrée pour contrer la violence sexuelle, la violence conjugale et rebâtir la confiance 2022-2027, particularly by supporting practitioners working with older adults.
