Our project aims to establish a process for enhancing good treatment practices in long-term care facilities and to promote a genuine culture of good treatment embraced by all stakeholders within the facility. This project is based on the practice guide: “Process for enhancing ‘ordinary’ good treatment practices in long-term care facilities, IR, RPA in Quebec: Mobilizing all stakeholders,” (in French) authored by Sophie Éthier and her collaborators (2021). This participatory approach, led by several members of the CREGÉS, promotes collaboration among various departments within the CIUSSS (Support Program for the Autonomy of Seniors (SAPA) Direction, Directorate of Academic Affairs and Research Ethics (DAAER), and Direction of Quality, Transformation, Evaluation, Value, Clinical and Organizational Ethics, and Virtual Care (DQTEVE & VC), as well as active involvement of stakeholders from three long-term care facilities (residents, family members, staff, managers, practitioners, etc.) within the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal.
