Learn how to use AIDE-Proches with a case study to familiarize yourself with the tool and learn how to assess caregivers’ needs systematically.
Following the MSSS’s publication of the Cadre de référence : Reconnaître les personnes proches aidantes comme partenaires pour mieux les soutenir, which is a tool for assessing the needs of caregivers, the CREGÉS updated and made available two tools: AIDE-Proches (CARE-Tool) and the Grille de dépistage auprès des personnes proches aidantes (Caregiver Risk Screen), which is a tool for assessing the risks of caregiving situations. Nancy Guberman and Mathilde Pouliot, members of the team behind this mandate, will give a two-part presentation. The second session, which includes an interactive simulation of the tool’s use in a case study, will provide a better understanding of the AIDE-Proches tool.
Objectives:
- Understand and use the AIDE-Proches tool.
- Examine the situation of a caregiver using the tool’s proposed themes.
- Make a clinical assessment of a caregiver’s support needs using the tool’s results.
