Description:
Mathilde Pouliot holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a certificate in social gerontology. She is also currently a candidate for a Master’s degree in Sociology at l’Université du Québec à Montréal. Her thesis project will focus on the gendered experiences of aging among elderly caregivers in Quebec, using a feminist approach. Prior to joining CREGÉS, Mathilde Pouliot worked for nearly two years in a community organization for seniors in eastern Montreal. The mandates entrusted to her by this organization have allowed her to build a versatile experience, whether in service coordination, project management or as a community worker with vulnerable seniors and their caregivers.
As a planning, programming and research officer, Mathilde Pouliot supports the development of a training program on the characteristics and needs of caregivers, as well as the approaches to be used by social and healthcare workers, professionals and managers in the Réseau de la santé et des services sociaux and the community organizations that work with them. This ministerial mandate stems from Measure 19 of the Government Action Plan for Caregivers 2021-2026.
