The Centre for Research and Expertise in Social Gerontology (CREGÉS) is proud to partner with the Centre d’expertise en santé de Sherbrooke (CESS) to offer training in how to facilitate the program Musclez vos méninges 2.0.
The previous version dates from 2016, and all content and references have been completely revised based on recent evidence. This update was carried out by a committee comprising CREGÉS, the Centre Charles-Émile-Claude (CCÉC) in Cornwall and the Réseau FADOQ.
CREGÉS has commissioned CESS to deliver training on how to facilitate the program, which is now mandatory, as well as distributing facilitation materials. The first facilitation training sessions began in autumn 2025. Training dates are already available in February, with more to be added to meet demand. Once you have completed the training, you will be able to offer Musclez vos méninges workshops in your community. Program history
Created in 2008, the Musclez vos méninges program is now offered in many settings, including private residences, day centres, housing towers, low-income housing and community organisations, to groups of five to fifteen participants. Designed with a holistic approach to the health of older adults in mind, the program considers the physical, psychological, and social factors that contribute to intellectual vitality. The program is intended for anyone interested in group facilitation and active aging.
